2019 Vivint Installer Code

I’ve been testing mine. I got the rules with functioning again with their help.

I have a few rules turning lights on/off at certain times. The one thing that doesn’t work is I used to have a rule that when the door lock was unlocked by a user code, it would disarm the system. That does not work anymore. I think with the smartthings being the primary device, it does not provide stateful data back to the 2gig.

Therefore, I unlock the door with my usercode, only the smartthings hub is aware of that. From what I can tell, there is no way to have that work as of right now. Not sure if anyone else has had that working, so, the 2gig disarms when the door is unlocked by a user code?As for actions on the 2gig from ST, I don’t believe that’s possible. They run as two independent devices. Both can send out commands to the devices, so, rules on 2gig, or on ST will both work. But, 2gig will not (from what I can tell) get stateful data back from the devices without polling them. For example, unlocking doors, the 2gig doesn’t appear to get notified that it has unlocked.

The only way I see the door is unlocked is by using the app and refreshing it’s status. Great thread with tons of info. Just got Vivint and, because of its quite limited capabilities despite using the SkyControl panel, i almost cancelled my contract (within trial period) and bought a ST hub. When it arrives in a couple days I plan on using a lot of the info from this thread to shift my primary controller from Vivint SkyControl to my ST.My goal will be to maintain my security (doors, locks, glass break sensors) through Vivint while using the advanced features of ZWave equipment on the ST hub (things like temperature readings of sensors, smart energy switch electricity read outs, etc.). I already have all these items which the Vivint SkyControl recognizes, but only uses them as binary switches,I admittedly don’t know much about ST but I’m a quick learner so I’ll post an update with how everything goes. From the sounds of this thread, it sounds like integration should be easy.

We’ll see if updates since Nov 14 have helped make it better! Hello,I have FrontPoint as my home security provider using a GE Simon as the console/Z-Wave Controller.

I’ve also been using X-10 for lighting routines, etc. For a long time.

Although that’s been very reliable, as more noise finds it’s way to electric lines, one of my rooms was less reliable than before. So, I recently bought a SmartThings hub to start the process of replacing the X-10 equipment a room at a time.At this point, I have set up one room with a motion sensor and five LED/controllable lights, integrated the SmartThings hub with my Amazon Echo for voice commands - for what little I have currently. I also started to integrate the SmartThings hub with my SimpleControl (was RoomieRemote) A/V and HomeAutomation controller.

There’s currently a known SimpleControl software issue that’s preventing me from setting up the integration, but when it’s fixed in the next release, I should(?) be able to use the Echo to control my AV System and allow SimpleControl to control SmartThings tooWhile working through the above, I started thinking about a one-way (only) integration/use of my FrontPoint’s sensors by SmartThings. Not interested in feeding the other way (don’t want to mess up the security functions and reliability). I just want to take info from The FrontPoint sensors into SmartThings to help with light and switching decisions/actions as I expand my system. I stumbled on this thread and read through it.

As a newbie on this, I decided to ask the FrontPoint tech guys about it. Their response is below:-Good afternoon and thank you for reaching out to us today! At this time, we could not use the SmartThings hub as a secondary controller, it would pair to the system since it goes off the ZWave network but there would be no remote control, schedules or rules since it wouldn’t be recognized by the infrastructure of the website or mobile app.

This ultimately would defeat the purpose of it sadly enough. However, we are always looking at expanding our home automation products, and there are several items on the horizon that we want to introduce to give everyone more home automation selections.-I’m no less confused but thought I’d pass this back to you guys here and see what you’d say about it.Lee. I see that these posts are over a year old, but I am in a similar situation that you were in a year ago. I have tried for the life of me to get my Kwikset Lock to re-link with my Vivint Sky Panel but it just does not seem to want to link up. I’ve enlisted the help from Vivint to get this done so we will see how it goes tonight. If you are still reviewing this Forum, can you tell me what else you have linked up to your SmartThings Hub?I have made the Vivint Sky a secondary controller to my SmartThings Hub, but I am not really seeing what the benefit this does if any.

Can any of the sensors (all 2Gig) be seen by the Hub? They are still linked with my Sky Panel but I’m trying to see if I can make any scenes (lighting) triggered by the sensors I have. So I’m new to this thread, but made progress in the same situation.Devices:.
